Modernist architect
Antoni Gaudí (Reus, 1852 - Barcelona, 1926)
Considered one of the greatest exponents of Modernist architecture in Catalonia for its unique contribution to architecture. After completing his studies in Barcelona, he implemented his own style of Modernist architecture in which his passion for nature, the use of different applied arts techniques (such as stained glass, ceramics, etc.) and the trencadís (a new technique that transformed the old mosaic) stand out. Some of its most famous buildings are the temple of Sagrada Familia, Casa Batlló or La Pedrera.
