Now that winter is approaching and you fancy the idea of curling up on the sofa under a blanket by the fire in the afternoons, it occurred to us to investigate the world of wood-burning stoves and we’ve discovered something that absolutely entranced us: Stack ceramic stoves. Once you’ve seen them, you’ll never forget them. Perhaps it’s because Joid’art is very much involved in the world of ceramics, or perhaps it’s because furnaces and fire are elements that we work with very often, but the fact is that we would just love to have one of these stoves in our lives. They’re so warm (to state the obvious…)! Their creators have reinterpreted the tradition of old ceramic stoves, giving them a contemporary shape, adapting them technically to the needs of the modern home and managing to make them environmentally-friendly. In other words, they’re just perfect. The concept resulted from the union of two Italian companies, La Castellamonte and Adriano Design. The two of them established a creative dialogue which has borne fruit in this line of avant-garde stoves manufactured using traditional techniques. More than just stoves, Stack are decorative objects that lso happen to heat your home. Their flexible structure means they can be positioned wherever you want them. We won’t go into the technical details here, because there’s no need, but the important thing to mention is that they demonstrate that regardless of the product, when you unite aesthetics and utility you can get amazing results like this.
