Naturally, thousands of crystal incrustations appear on the walls of the geodes, turning these rough surfaces into precious, shiny and magnetic formations, capable of captivating everyone's gaze. This spontaneity and capacity for transformation reminds us of the creation process behind the Geoda collection by Marta Alonso. The pieces have evolved from being discrete geometric silver and brass shapes, to unique pieces of jewelry boasting their own nature and identity through the small square and rectangular stone incrustations that add a subtle halo of light.

The interior designer and jeweler Marta Alonso is a clear example of when the taste and appreciation for design awakens within you, the thirst for knowledge is not satisfied with one single discipline. With a background in interior design, the Barcelona native complemented her training with lighting, a discipline that adds further richness to her designs; and she has gone a step further with her jewelry design. A workshop in Boisbuchet, France, one of Europe's unique centers of artistic creativity, piqued her interest in jewelry, and she once again felt a desire to work with her hands. Since then, she has studied in different schools and workshops to continue training in something that Marta understands as the art that enables her to express her creativity and inquisitiveness. She has exhibited in spaces such as Miluna Gallery in Barcelona, and in 2021 she was a finalist in the Enjoia't awards.
