LORA

Oct. 10, 2013 · Creations

Lora AW13 are little works of art. Each hand-painted fired enamel centre is a unique composition whose depth emanates from its colour gradations. Cristina Julià was the designer responsible for bringing life to this collection, and in doing so she sought inspiration in the abstracts and the influence of the pictorial work of Helen Frankenthaler, a contemporary artist we have already mentioned before on this blog who we particularly admire for the power of colour in her paintings. Each Lora piece is an enamel canvas suspended over a silver frame. Different intensities of mauve make up the main colour tone of the compositions. This was no random choice: mauve interrupts the monotony of autumn with an explosion of colour that invites us to create bold, emphatic looks. A set of Lora earrings and ring or just a large pendant over a simple garment give a unique touch of personality to whoever is wearing them.
