RUGS FROM SRI LANKA

Aug. 20, 2013 · Style

On the Swedish website FineLittleDay we always find something intriguing related to art, decoration, craftwork or printing. These mostly hand-made objects exude a wealth of sensitivity. We recently found these rugs from Sri Lanka made from recycled clothing. Elisabeth Dunker, the blog creator, discovered them during a recent trip to Sri Lanka and fell in love with them, so she decided to buy a few and bring them back to Sweden. She sells them through her online shop in packs of four. As they are hand-made from recycled clothing, every single one is unique and therein lies their charm! The profits from their sale will be sent to a coconut seller, Mr Subasiri, and his wife and four children – another good reason to buy them. They would look really fabulous in the Joid'art design studio, one underneath each desk. We’re seriously thinking of buying them at the end of the summer.
